Coupon Widget
Display the latest and best coupons on your website, blog, etc
Keep in mind:
- Fonts, width, etc will be automatically inherited from your page styles
- You can place more then one of these on the same page
- Widget will automatically resize based on its content and the area on the page it's
within
Installation
Simply copy the above generated code and paste it into the html source of your page and upload to your server.
- Sign in to your Blogger account.
- In the Manage section, click "Layout".
- Click "Add a Page Element".
- Find "HTML/JavaScript" and click "Add to Blog".
- Enter a Title for the Widget (such as Backcountry Planet or Coupons, etc).
- Copy and Paste the above code into the Blogger "Content" box.
- Click "Save Changes".
- Drag the element into the desired place on your blog.
- Log into your WordPress administration panel and click on "Presentation".
- Click on "Widgets".
- Create 1 text widget then drag from the bottom onto your preferred sidebar.
- Click on the icon which displays on the right hand side of the widget.
- The configuration box has two text areas. One for giving the widget a name (Backcountry Planet/Coupons/etc) and the other is used to paste the above generated code into.
- Click the "Save" button
- Login to your MovableType account
- Click on "Design"
- Click on "Templates"
- Click on "Sidebar" (listed under "Template Modules")
- Paste the above generated code underneath all the other code.
- Save the template.
- Click the publish site button (an icon that looks like circular arrows).
- Click the "TypeLists" tab. Select an existing Notes TypeList, or create a new one. The "Notes" TypeList is one the five TypeList types.
- Click "Add Item."
- In the Notes TypeList editor, there are two boxes. Into the "Note" box, paste the above generated code.
- Leave the "Label" box blank.
- Click the "Save" button.
