"Veteran big mountain skier, Ian McIntosh headed to La Grave, France last winter to film for TGR’s Almost Ablaze. Get in the head of McIntosh as we experience step by step what it took to ski the “Y” couloir. Ian encounters a wide variety of obstacles, both to access and ski the face. He traverses across a steep exposed rock field. Once in position, Ian skis with his signature speed over a mandatory air and a double bergschrund at the bottom on the slope. Witness a veteran of big mountain skiing showcase his craft in the first episode of Behind the Line from Teton Gravity Research."
