Skier Takes Extreme Backward Fall from Cliff - Just Barely Escapes Death

Austrian skier Stefan Ager is lucky to be alive after sliding backward and falling off a mountain cliff near the Stubai Glacier. Just after putting his skis on, he loses his balance on the snow and slides off the backside of the mountain and tumbles over rocks and steep snow fields. 15 seconds later he comes to a stop at the bottom of the (400m) mountain side. Amazingly, he survived and was able to stand up at the end with only bumps and bruises.
I'm not so sure he would have been so lucky with out a few fortunate snow patches, and managing to hit that last band of rocks straight on with the bottom of his skis, instead of his head or neck...
